Honda gives City sedan a new look

Honda India is all set to launch the new revamped version of its most popular sedan Honda City in the market. Earlier it was speculated that Honda Siel Cars Ltd. will launch this sedan in the month of January next but now it is going to launch on tomorrow i.e on 14th December. This early launch update comes at such a crucial time when the Japanese giant is facing the shortage of components followed by the typhoon in Thailand. It is being speculated that this new Honda City facelift will come adorn with ample cosmetic changes in the exteriors and the interiors as well. However on the technaclities part, the new car will come powered with same 1.5 L petrol engine.

Talking about the modifications the new City will be fully dressed up with a redesigned grille that looks more pronounced than ever. Further the headlamps of the car will appear more integrated into the grille. To change the looks and style to a large extent there is a deviation in the bumper design with the air duct sitting which can be noticed easily. In addition to it slight modifications are also paralleled at the rear end of the car as well.

This launch of new Honda City is take place at the right time, when the outgoing Honda City has garnered good sales in the month of September and October after a cash discount of up to Rs 1 lakh. Due to the natural calamities the production of the Honda Brio and Honda Jazz is drastically hindered because of component shortage, on the contrary the new Honda City face-lift launch seems to remain unruffled.

Honda City, is the most successful sedan of Honda since its launch, is now getting the tough competition by the likes of the Ford Fiesta, Volkswagen Vento, Hyundai Verna and the newly launched Skoda Rapid. So this new Honda City facelift is not a surprising move by the Japanese giant. It is expected that in the coming time Honda will introduce the Honda City diesel in the market soon. It can be revealed form the current scenerio in which Honda City is facing a downfall in its sales because of the skyrocketing prices of petrol and the lack a diesel heart in the Honda stable.
